Myrna Atalla is Managing Director of Development and Expansion for Alfanar, based in London. Atalla worked for the National Democratic Insititute for International Affairs (NDI) in Beirut, Lebanon from 2004 to 2008, managing its civil society strengthening partnerships as well as its women's candidate training programme, and conducting consultations on strategic planning, communications and advocacy in English and Arabic. Atalla also engaged in regional initiatives, including international election observation missions to Morocco, Yemen, and Egypt. Atalla holds a BA in International Relations from Brown University and a dual-degree Masters in Public Administration (MPA) from Columbia University and the London School of Economics.
 
Tamara Ben-Halim is Alfanar’s Communications and Outreach Officer. Ben-Halim has worked with the International Medical Corps UK (IMC UK) and Medical Aid for Palestinians, and launched Cycling4Gaza in 2009.  Ben-Halim has also worked with the BBC, Arab news production company, Film Matters Ltd., and produced most of Alfanar’s videos.  Ben-Halim graduated from the University of Edinburgh with an Honours degree in Modern European Languages and received a diploma in documentary filmmaking from the Met Film School in London.
 
Margherita Gatt is Alfanar’s Company Secretary. Gatt has a wealth of administrative and organisational experience, having previously worked for the BBC, the Civil Service, Whitehall, and the National Health Service. In 2004, she received the Executive Assistant/Personal Assistant of the Year Award from Crone Corkill, one of the leading recruitment consultancies in London.
