Strengthening Resiliency in Children at Risk (2011-Ongoing)
Alfanar is supporting Kelmetna Association for Dialogue and Development in setting up a project that attempts to reinforce resilience in children at risk to enable them to deal with difficult circumstances, including emotional and physical abuse and harmful sexual practices, and provide the necessary psychological and psychiatric treatment to those in need. Youth from the community and school teachers will be trained to conduct activities with children to reinforce resilience, provide them with the necessary support and identify and refer cases which need professional psychological and/or psychiatric treatment. The project will also work with children's families to raise awareness of health and psychological issues related to children.
